Energy Independence – Congressman Mike Pence fought for a comprehensive energy plan for America. When the Democrat-controlled Congress adjourned to take a five-week paid vacation, Congressman Pence lead the fight on the House floor to call Congress back into session to do work on our energy crisis.
He fought for a plan that includes conservation, incentives to increase solar, wind and other clean renewable energy sources, and an increase in America’s domestic production of oil by building more refineries and drilling here and now.
Economic Prosperity – Congressman Pence lead opposition in Congress to bailouts of Wall Street and mega-corporations. He worked to cut taxes for Indiana’s working families while opposing government bailouts for big corporations.
Mike Pence continues the fight to reduce the bureaucratic red tape that stifles the ability of Hoosier small businesses to expand and hire. He believes prosperity follows when we unleash the talent and capital of the American people.
National Security – When others called for retreat, Mike Pence stood strong… standing by our men and women in uniform as they fought our terrorist enemies. In the widening American success, he always believed in the cause behind their mission.
As a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Ranking Minority Member of the Subcommittee on the Middle East and South East Asia, Congressman Pence knows firsthand the threats facing America and the resolve we must have to maintain our security.
